Dr. Lisa Karmacharya

Dr. Lisa Karmacharya currently serves as the Executive Director for MASA.  Throughout her twenty-two year career in education, she has served throughout the state in a variety of roles including Special Education Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Federal Programs Director and Superintendent.

Dr. Karmacharya holds a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership that she received from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Masters in Supervising Instruction from Mississippi College and a Bachelors degree in Special Education from the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Karmacharya has participated on numerous educational advisory committees over the years, is a certified Ruby Payne trainer and is active in many professional organizations including ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development), AASA (Americian Association of School Administrators) and MASA (Mississippi Association of School Administrators).

Dr. Karmacharya is married with one son and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Ginger Lowhorn

There's No Place Like Home!

Ginger Lowhorn was born and raised near Summit, MS.  She earned her Associate of Science in Marketing Managment from Southwest Mississippi Junior College (now SMCC) and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi.

After spending summers working in National Parks in Wyoming and Colorado, she accepted a permanent position in Indiana where she met her husband, John.  She was office manager (Accounts Payable/Receivable, Human Resources, Safety Co-ordinator, etc) for 20 years at a luxury houseboat manufacturing facility.  She returned to Mississippi in 2011 and has been the Business Manager for MASA since 2014.
