Mississippi Rural Education Alliance
Many schools and school districts in Mississippi serve students who live in rural areas of our state.
Rural schools have many strengths, but also face daunting challenges that may not be addressed by policy and research—from teacher shortages to access to internet and technology. Learn more about the state of rural education from the Why Rural Matters report of the Rural School and Community Trust.
We believe that by working together we can improve the state of rural education for children in Mississippi. To that end, we are launching the MS Rural Education Alliance, a division of MASA that will work to advance understand of rural schools and collaborate to share resources and support rural educators and their advocates.
MSREA is a chapter division of MASA. Click here to complete the Membership Application.
